. The animated children’s adventure is packed with stunning visuals and arrives for the first time on Blu-ray Combo Pack. Is Snyder’s forte in directing animation solid or should he stick with his more “adult” extravaganzas? We aim to find out.
Soren and his brother Kludd are young owls full of imagination with a soft spot for tales of adventure and listening to the stories of the legendary Guardians, an army of peace-keeping owls that fight for the safety and well-being of others. When Soren and Kludd are abducted and forced to work as slave labor for an evil army of “pure ones” out to take over owlkind, Soren escapes to seek the Guardians help. With an ensemble of random owls he meets along the way, Soren finds the Guardians and tells them of the evil that is taking place. And like the legends that precede them, the Guardians take action to save the other enslaved owlets with a little help from their new friends.
