Though it was shown in 3-D in some theaters, that process was added after the movie had been completed, so this remake of the sandals-and-sorcery epic doesn’t lose much visually on video.
It also doesn’t have Ray Harryhausen’s special-effects wizardry, as the 1981 edition did, but the story gets ” Kraken” as Perseus ( Sam Worthington) deals with such legends as Zeus ( Liam Neeson) and Hades ( Ralph Fiennes) – not to mention numerous mythical creatures – as he tries to prevent dark forces from ruling the world.
